CIB HOG

The Biomedical Investigation Center CIB HOG (Centre d'Investigations Biomédicales Hématologie-Oncologie-Greffes) is dedicated to innovation and translational research in the field of Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation. Research programs also concern Infectiology and Pharmacology in relation to these main medical domains.

The CIB HOG is organized in Biomedical Investigation Units with medical teams involved in federative clinical projects to develop highly specialized and innovative diagnosis and therapeutic evaluation tools. Medical teams include staff from the Biology and Medical Imagery departments of the hospitals.

The development of biological and technological resources, scientific partnership in basic cellular and molecular biology and cooperative activity with industry will allow the CIB HOG to foster translational research to design new diagnosis and therapeutic strategies beneficial to the patient.

The CIB HOG aims are:

• The identification and diagnostic classification of hemopathies, cancers, infections... and improvement of transplantation practice (best donor/recipient matching and immune reconstitution).
• The identification of prognostic and predictive factors of the therapeutical responses.
• The definition of reference standards for technical and medical practice.
• The establishment of referent laboratories for biological and functional analysis.
• An industrial valorisation of biomedical innovation.
