IUH Boards

The University Institute of Hematology (IUH) is directed by Professor François Sigaux.

The IUH policy is defined by an Institute Board chaired by Mr. Jean-Patrick LAJONCHERE, director of Saint-Louis Hospital, and assisted by a Scientific Committee chaired by Prof. Hugues de Thé, which defines scientific orientations of IUH.
The Scientific Committee is advised by the Health and Safety Committee for setting standards within laboratories and comply with Health and Safety rules at the IUH.

The Institute Board has 32 members (14 researchers, 2 students, 6 ITA, 10 outside personalities).

Its mission is to adopt the budget and the educational and research policy. The Institute Board ensures that the general orientation of research work remains with the framework defined by the statutes of the IUH.

The Scientific Committee has 23 members (13 professors and researchers, 3 ITA, 2 students, 5 outside personalities).

The purpose of this committee is to propose research policy orientations, and facilitate coordination, conciliation and harmonization of the programs within the teams. The committee fosters relationships between research and education, and also acts as an ethics watchdog within the Institute.

The Management Committee has 12 members (2 professors, 3 researchers, 1 student, 6 ITA including 1 administrative person).

The Management Committee, which is nominated by the Institute Board, assists the Director with managing routine business.

The Health and Safety Committee

This committee sets standards for, and ensures compliance with good Hygiene and Safety practices within the IUH. Each laboratory nominates its Health and Safety representative.
